What happens during the PRP treatment?
The procedure is quick. Before it, local anaesthetic is applied to the skin.
Blood drawn from the patient is placed in a centrifuge to separate the plasma from the blood cells, like platelets. Platelets containing growth factors are then injected into the skin to stimulate the body’s own regeneration processes, like collagen production which rejuvenates the skin and improves its elasticity, structure and lines. The treatment can be applied to wrinkles in the facial area, neck, and hands. The effects can be seen after approx. 3 weeks. Two or three boosting treatments, administered within a month apart from each other, can give lasting results for as long as 2 years.
